Step 1: Locate the Air Filter Housing
Open the hood and locate the air filter housing in the engine bay (typically a black plastic box connected to the intake duct). Consult your owner's manual for the precise location on your specific model.
Step 2: Release the Housing Clips or Latches
The housing is secured by spring clips, retaining latches, or both, depending on your Genesis model. Release them carefully using your fingers or a flathead screwdriver. Some models may require removing an additional cover panel before accessing the filter.
Step 3: Remove the Old Filter
Lift the housing cover and remove the old filter. Note which direction it faces before setting it aside; the new filter must be installed in the same orientation to seat correctly.
Step 4: Insert the New Filter and Close
Place the new filter in the same direction as the old one, press it firmly into place, close the housing cover, and re-secure all clips or latches until they click into position.
